This is the park that inspired "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson (1974). Those were the good old days when New York was New York, before Giuliani made it more like New England. This park is still loved by drug addicts, pushers, hookers and everyone who loves a good time. It was strewn with stolen wallets, used condoms, drug paraphernalia, soiled womens' panties, discarded thigh-high leather prostitute boots and God knows what else.
