PERFORMANCE: Scan Times: 6 x 7 cm

6 x 7 cm, 4800DPI (400 MB file, 800 MB file in 16 bit mode)

* Mac OS 10.2.8, Minolta software v 1.1.1, November 2003, +2 exposure increase used with Scanhancer.

6 x 7 cm, 3,200 DPI (175 MB File, 350 MB in 16 bit mode)

* Takes twice as long (40 minutes) if you use the the stand-alone driver outside of Photoshop.

** 18 minutes in stand-alone driver

*** in OS 9, occasionally crashes Photoshop, looses communication over firewire and gives Type 1 errors on attempting to restart Photoshop. Restarting and rebuilding the desktop always fixes this defect. It runs OK if instead you run the scanner from its stand-alone driver, however this driver is slower and takes one to THREE HOURS for this 6x7 scan at 3,200 DPI at 16x with ICE.

*** about 50 minutes in OS 10.2.6 August 2003 from Minolta's PhotoShop plug-in.

Adding USM adds two minutes at the end of the scan while it calculates.

6 x 7 cm, 2,400 DPI (100 MB file, 200 MB in 16 bit mode)

6 x 7 cm, 1600 DPI (45 MB file, 90 MB in 16 bit mode)

At 1600 DPI a small crop without ICE can be scanned in 15 seconds.

* Using the stand alone driver outside of Photoshop it takes 2:20 without ICE and 3:50 with ICE.

6 x 7 cm, 1,200 DPI (25 MB file, 50 MB in 16 bit mode)

* Using the stand alone driver outside of Photoshop it takes 2:03 without ICE.

6 x 7 cm, 800 DPI (11 MB file, 22 MB in 16 bit mode)

6 x 7 cm, 600 DPI (6 MB file, 12 MB in 16 bit mode)

6 x 7 cm, 320 DPI
