LEICA M9 Review        More Leica Reviews        Leica Lens Reviews

These are three original DNG files I made with the LEICA M9 in Yosemite National Park in October, 2009.

I've also included full-resolution JPG images created from these DNGs in Adobe Photoshop. If you use better software or are more skilled at it than I am (which ought to be easy), you can get even better JPGs.

A huge advantage of LEICA's universal DNG raw file format is that DNGs can be opened with just about any software. Unlike proprietary raw formats like NEF or CR2, these DNGs just open in my years-old copy of Photoshop CS2, with no need to install, update or buy anything extra.

Please enjoy these files live on your computer in whatever image editors, raw-processing software or browsers you like, however because these images are both copyrighted and formally registered, you may not save, print, post, forward or make any other use of these files or images without an express written usage license.

If you wish to share these images, please share the link to this page instead (http://www.kenrockwell.com/leica/m9/sample-photos-3.htm).

Thanks! Ken.

Help me help you         top

I support my growing family through this website, as crazy as it might seem.

If you find this as helpful as a book you might have had to buy or a workshop you may have had to take, feel free to help me continue helping everyone.

If you've gotten your gear through one of my links or helped otherwise, you're family. It's great people like you who allow me to keep adding to this site full-time. Thanks!

If you haven't helped yet, please do, and consider helping me with a gift of $5.00.

The biggest help is when you use any of these links when you get anything. It costs you nothing, and is this site's, and thus my family's, biggest source of support. These places always have the best prices and service, which is why I've used them since before this website existed. I recommend them all personally.

Thanks for reading!
