I got this Petino Samba Pad Pro Wireless Charging Station for Christmas 2023, and love it because it works so well and it's so well made. I'll be honest that I have no idea what is its brand name; I see Samba on the box and on the bottom of the unit, Petino in online listings and Longconn Electronics also on the bottom.

While the left and right pads are dedicated to iPhones and Apple Watches, respectively, the central non-magnetic depression will charge anything from other brands as well as any wirelessly charging iPhone.

From the left, it has:

1.) A MagSafe charger for iPhones from iPhone 12 to present (just put it near the big round pad and it sticks),

2.) A small central depression for just about any wireless charging device like AirPods, third-party earbuds like the Tozo Golden X1, iPhones as old as the first wirelessly charging iPhone 8, or even the wireless-charging Display Key to my BMW, and

3.) A supposedly genuine Apple Watch charger.

It comes with a dedicated AC adapter. It doesn't run from USB power, however this adapter cord may let it work great from a USB-C PD source to replace the included AC adapter.

MagSafe for iPhones (Left)       top

The MagSafe pad requires no fiddling in the dark; just hold your phone near it and they pop together magnetically in perfect alignment. Bravo! You can rotate your phone to any rotational angle, vertical, horizontal or diagonal. It's perfect for taking advantage of the StandBy display:

StandBy Display on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It does this when horizontal and charging. bigger.

Better, the left MagSafe pad is suspended with two pivots, so you can set the vertical position and angle to taste. It works with just the right amount of friction and holds position without drooping. First class!

The coolest thing is the balance between the total weight of the pad and the magnets. I can pull my phone off this charger in the middle of the night with just one hand while the pad stays put under its own weight. Perfect!

It charges more than fast enough for overnight charging; mine charges my iPhone 15 Pro Max from 20% to 100% in three hours.

I'm very happy; this charger always just charges. It never hiccups or does weird things; it always just goes. It charges efficiently; my iPhone 15 Pro Max always stays cool while charging. (Sometimes wasted energy in less efficient chargers leads to heat build-up which is bad for battery longevity.)

There's a deliberately dim white LED on the front that glows softly in the dark to let you know your phone is charging (or not). The light blinks if there's a problem.

While Apple warns that magnetic chargers might mess the finish of some cases, even after a month and a half I see no ill affects to my Apple FineWoven case.

AirPods, iPhones & Almost Anything (Center)       top

I don't use AirPods or earbuds like the Tozo Golden X1, but I do use the all-purpose wireless charging depression in the center to charge these or my BMW Display Key as needed once a month. It's rated to charge anything wireless ever since the first wirelessly-charging iPhone 8.

There's another deliberately dim white LED on the front that glows softly in the dark to let you know this spot is charging (or not). The light blinks if there's a problem.

Apple Watch (Right)       top

It claims to use the genuine Apple charging part.

The little Watch charger has just one pivot at the bottom with two clicks for vertical angle. It always works and charges my Apple Watch ULTRA 2 just as my other Apple chargers do.

Travel       top

It folds flat for travel, and everything also charges just fine like this:

Power Adapter

It does not plug into USB-C; you run it from AC with the included dedicated adapter. Lose the adapter and you're out of luck until you find another. It's a universal 100-240V 50-60 Hz to 9V DC 2.7A (24W) power adapter with a dedicated coaxial center-positive DC plug. My plug's outside diameter measures 3.45mm with my digital caliper:

USB-C Power

I haven't tried one, but this adapter cord may let it work great from an USB-C PD source, providing the same 9V 27 W 3A service from the included 3.5mm adapter.
