Baby Ryan Rockwell
January ~ March 2009
Born 8:16:30 PM, 15 December 2006, La Jolla, California. 8 pounds, 12.2 ounces (3,975g). 20" (51 cm). The technical gobbledygook after each shot is the equipment I used for each photo. Many photographer friends ask. 29 March 2009, Sunday Ryan proudly recognizes orange and green. Ryan and Grandma Noni. 15 March 2009, Sunday Ryan used a new word, "Guck," to mean truck. Ryan can fit blocks into their respective holes.
11 March 2009, Wednesday Ryan used a new word while taking a bath this morning: "Move!" I kid you not: Ryan only knows a few words, and barely can string two together in a sentence, like "night-night ma-ma" at bedtime, "Da-da poo-poo" any time daddy farts, or "night-night all-done" when he wakes up. Daddy is giving him a bath this morning, and out of nowhere Ryan uses the imperative "Move" and points to the other side of the tub, where he wants daddy to move.
07 March 2009, Saturday 2PM: Ryan is building stuff with the Lego blocks at Legoland.
06 March 2009, Friday: R.I.P. Megan Our cutest dog, Megan, passed away this evening. She would have been 10 years old in a week. She was Ryan's favorite. Megan is survived by her sister Molly (same birthday) and her brother Buster. Megan had no puppies. Christmas Card 2005.

28 February 2009, Saturday 8PM: Ryan just put on his own shirt after his bath!
26 February 2009, Thursday Ryan put on his own pants for the first time after his bath. He wouldn't let Daddy help; he insisted on doing it all by himself. He also got mom's hair dryer out of the cabinet, climbed up on the counter, plugged it in and dried his own hair. He then put toothpaste on his toothbrush, brushed his teeth, rinsed out his mouth, climbed down, asked dad to put the bubble bath away back in the cabinet (so Ryan doesn't drink it), turned off the lights, and hopped into bed.
21 February 2009, Saturday He woke up twice as smart today as he was yesterday. For the first time he said Hel-lo Da-da instead of Hi Da-da. What's intriguing is his use of words which consist of two different syllables, like Hello, instead of Hi. Ryan enforces "night-night" for the baby's naps. Ryan announces "Bay-bee night-night," turns off the light in the baby's room, closed the shades and shutters, turns on the nice music and takes my finger and pulls me out of the room. He also get the bottle for the baby. Ryan also rode a scooter for the first time today at the park. He figured it out pretty quick, and he also figured out how to drink from a water fountain for the first time.
