Fuji S5

Fujifilm S5 Pro

I got this one here ($1,899 and free shipping). I'd have gotten it here or here, too. It helps me publish this site when you get yours from those links, too.

These are crops from 100% images from my Fuji S5 High ISO Performance page, where more technical details about these can be found.

For each example, roll your mouse over the image to see the version at ISO 3,200.

Fuji S5. Rollover to see ISO 3,200. Note how the creases in the drainpipe disappear.

Nikon D200. Rollover to see ISO 3,200. It's greener and crushes the black at ISO 3,200, even though it's subtle here. The dot on the window at ISO 3,200 is a hot pixel.

Canon 5D. Rollover to see ISO 3,200. The improved definition is obvious. Look at the creases in the rain gutter at ISO 3,200, invisible with every other camera at ISO 3,200. Look at the texture of the stucco, invisible in every the other shots. I can see texture in the stucco in the 5D's ISO 3,200 shot which is invisible in every other camera at ISO 200.

Nikon D40. Rollover to see ISO 3,200.

If you find this as helpful as a book you might have had to buy or a workshop you may have had to take, feel free to help me continue helping everyone.

It also helps me keep adding to this site when you get your goodies through these links to Ritz, Amazon and Adorama. I use them and recommend them personally .

Thanks!

Ken
