Ritz Gear 256 GB CFexpress Type B ($90 for 128GB, $110 for 256GB, $500 for 512GB, $350 for 1TB). I'd get mine at Amazon.

The Amazon listings say "NOT FOR NIKON" because if you don't update your firmware it might not work well, and Ritz didn't want anyone to be unhappy. My Z9 works awesome with my card, so be sure to run the latest firmware in Nikon and you're good.

This all-content, junk-free website's biggest source of support is when you use those or any of these links to approved sources when you get anything, regardless of the country in which you live. Thanks for helping me help you! Ken.

I buy only from these approved sources. I can't vouch for ads below.

I just got one of these to use in my Canon EOS R5.

I'll admit that I'm not a video or raw shooter; I shoot JPG so I can work fast with small cards and not worry, except that the other slot besides the SD slot in my R5 is CFexpress.

I love having a huge card in what to me is my second slot as a backup. I can shoot and shoot, and the backup card never fills. I'll be perfectly honest that my computers and laptops all have SD readers, not CFexpress readers, so I use SD cards as my primary storage, and this fancy ultra-high speed card serves as bulk backup - which it does brilliantly!

I set my R5 to record the same thing to both cards as backup at MENU > WRENCH 1 > Record func+card/folder sel. > Rec options > Rec. to multiple.

This Ritz Gear card is much less expensive than anything else since they're a new name in storage and trying to get the word out, and it works great. It's made in Taiwan, not China, which to me means much higher quality

While it's the same size and will fit in XQD slots, it's very different logically and electrically and will not work. Only use this in cameras that use CFexpress cards.

I measure 320 MB/s write and 777 MB/s read speeds wth my Mac, the BlackMagic test app and my RitzGear reader.

Enjoy!

Help Me Help You

I support my growing family through this website, as crazy as it might seem.

The biggest help is when you use any of these links when you get anything. It costs you nothing, and is this site's, and thus my family's, biggest source of support. These places always have the best prices and service, which is why I've used them since before this website existed. I recommend them all personally.

If you find this page as helpful as a book you might have had to buy or a workshop you may have had to take, feel free to help me continue helping everyone.

If you've gotten your gear through one of my links or helped otherwise, you're family. It's great people like you who allow me to keep adding to this site full-time. Thanks!

If you haven't helped yet, please do, and consider helping me with a gift of $5.00.
