I love my Think Tank Retrospective EDC Backpack not just for its great design with loads and loads of space and pockets and dividers, but also because of the quality of its materials.

The only plastic are the buckles and the only nylon are some of the smaller straps and some interior surfaces and dividers. Everything else is classic waterproof canvas, brown full-grain leather and smooth YKK zippers, ahhhh!

Its clever design has two extra carry handles, one on each side, as well as one at the top, making it easy to grab without having to grab a big shoulder strap:

The green color is called Pinestone, my favorite and the same color as my Retrospective Duffel 75 and my Retrospective Camera Bags. Conceivably it may come in other colors and materials in the future; if you want canvas, get the Pinestone.

It is soooo much nicer than the plain nylon backpacks I've been using ever since middle school. This EDC Retrospective backpack oozes luxury, and it's lot less expensive than the luxury brands my rich neighbors buy but never use. This beauty is tough and made to be taken out and used.

It's a general-purpose every day backpack, not a camera bag. If you want to carry cameras in it, Think Tank also makes separate series of Stash Master Cube camera modules you can put inside the main compartment, but they're not as elegant as separate bags. The Stash Master S is the most appropriate size, taking up about half of the inside of this backpack and leaving the other half for everything else.

On a photo trip I bring my cameras in my Retrospective 7 Camera Bag, my computers and chargers in my Think Tank Retrospective Everyday EDC Backpack and my clothes and toiletries in my Retrospective Duffel 75, and all three bags match:

Get one, I did! It may cost more than a junky backpack from the swap meet, but as something I carry around every day, the luxury and quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

These are built to last; it's not like buying a digital LEICA camera which you'll want to ditch after a few years. My LEICA M9 was still new in 2010 back when I got my first Retrospective Camera Bags, and I'm still using my Retrospective Bags every day, while I don't even know where my M9 is or if it even still works. While digital cameras are largely disposable after a few years, even LEICA, my Think Tank bags seem to last forever.

Bravo!
